It’s with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of Alice Wong, a remarkable disability rights activist, author, and leader. Alice brought awareness to the masses. Her words meant so much to so many. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. cbc.ca/news/world/alice-wong…

It’s the 11th annual Indigenous Disability Awareness Month! This month is about celebrating the strength, contributions, and rights of Indigenous Peoples with disabilities. We’re grateful to @BCANDS1 for their ongoing leadership in advocacy and inclusion across Canada.
Today, November 1st, marks the beginning of the 11th anniversary of Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM) in Canada, and across the world! We want to thank the @BlueJays for holding off winning the World Series last night, so that they can bring it home tonight, on the 1st day of IDAM! Check in often this month for events recognizing IDAM and Indigenous Peoples with disabilities! Go Jays! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indige…

Struggling to understand Premier @fordnation's position on speed cameras. I'd *much* rather police do police things like investigating crime, patrolling, etc. than catching speeders. It's the most avoidable tax, h/t @jm_mcgrath. With a finite # of cops, useful policing is better.

2.5 million Ontarians don't have a family doctor, meaning PWD already can't find support to apply for ODSP. Reiterating this process with the Disability Tax Credit ensures that people with disabilities will continue to be excluded from crucial support. thestar.com/politics/federal…

Hey @TorontoStar headline editors - was it necessary to include "- Hollywood nepo baby - " in the hed of your @voguemagazine article about @chloemalle today? It devalue Malle's obvious years of hard work. Do better, women don't need these shitty headers.

NEW: The CNE's got a new accessibility service that disability advocates say is unlike any they've seen before in Toronto's event or festival scene. They say it helps increase autonomy and independence for disabled guests. torontotoday.ca/local/lifest…

I can’t wait to work with @DDame to do exactly what he articulates here - and more. We’re on an exciting journey!

I’m honoured to share that I’ve joined @marchofdimescda Board of Directors. Living with a disability has taught me that accessibility isn’t just about ramps or technology—it’s about breaking down barriers so people can fully participate, contribute, and thrive. For over 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of technology, leadership, and inclusion. Now, I’m excited to bring that experience to support MODC’s mission of building a barrier-free society. This role isn’t just about governance, it’s about impact. It’s about amplifying voices, advancing equity, and ensuring that people with disabilities have the same opportunities to live, work, and connect in a more inclusive world. The journey toward accessibility is long, but every step matters. I look forward to taking this next step with March of Dimes Canada. #Accessibility #Leadership #Inclusion #MODC
