Shocking case of medical negligence for a 22year old homeless Aboriginal woman, 4 years ago here in Perth shared by Medical director frm Derbal Yerrigan. Breaks my heart that we continually hear these stories. Racism & bias in the health care system, when will it end? #Siren24

Nothing worse then saviour mentality or paternalism. As a youth co-researcher I work with said "Blackfellas aren't broken"
"I think what we've tried to do is shake that up a bit, and try and get researchers to understand that they don't have all of the answers, that they're not always the experts, and that they should be looking to value add, rather than come in and save us."

‼️We are extremely alarmed by reports of self-harm, suicide attempts and children in WA being transferred to an adult prison Children do not belong in prison, maximum security adult prisons, and they should not be punished for the failures of adults to keep them safe. 🧵👇

Cis people: I need you to understand (and help others understand) that “the trans debate” is NOT relevant “to only a small number of people” but to everyone. Thread below for why: (This is focused on cis women, but cis dudes I need you to listen too. You are also in danger.)

For context, Audrey did this 2 days earlier at her school. She says it's an Alien. The alien is sad because she doesn't like her long legs and arms, the other figure is a person. Yup, still an average 4 year old...just draws the flag when ever there is paper in front of her 😉
