Foreign companies are building boundaries in the United States, but what they're not doing is the core IP that actually goes in and makes those foundries work. "The US economy runs on semiconductors, the way it used to run on steel and oil. You could look at the market caps of these companies, and it's absolutely gigantic, and kind of unlike steel, without the fabs, you can't, you can't just turn on a fab overnight, and I think a lot would be at stake if the US doesn't pull this off." I have always articulated EMIB as a "strategic bridge" for Intel foundry. (hopefully you see what I did there lol) But, in this crazy world of capacity scarcity, Intel Foundry also being the only place you can mix and match wafers/tiles is another very strong differentiator.

Thanks to the CHIPS and Science Act, Arizona is already the semiconductor capital of America — now we need to keep the momentum going. Great meeting with TSMC, @intel, @Applied4Tech, and @AmkorTechnology to discuss their investments here in AZ and how Congress can keep our foot on the gas.
