A cold front with strong winds of 15-25 mph, gusts up to 40 mph, & low humidity make for high fire danger. Because of that scary combo, a Red Flag warning has been issued from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. PLEASE take these precautions to prevent a wildfire! ➡️bit.ly/3Yw0dNw
Officers and members of the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team are on scene of a barricaded subject in the 400 block of Marigold Lane.
At this time, this is an isolated incident, there is no threat to the public.
Updates to come.
#ATCEMS is on scene in support of @austinfireinfo. #ATCEMSMedics are evaluating one adult patient for complaints related to minor smoke inhalation (non-life threatening). Transport needs are still being determined, no further updates planned unless additional patients are found.
A cold front will move through the region this evening, with breezy northerly winds developing overnight. By early Friday, even before sunrise, 15-25 mph sustained winds and gusts to 35 mph are expected over much of the region. Consider securing loose outdoor objects.
There's some serious rain forecast for tonight/tomorrow, so #turnarounddontdrown! Don’t ignore low-water crossings and their barricades. And NEVER cross a road w/water covering it. A few inches can cause a life-threatening situation for you, your passengers, and 1st responders.
