Leukapheresis Day is HERE! 🎉
Today is one of the biggest milestones in Braelyn’s journey toward DCVax.
Time to harvest those dendritic cells! 🧬
These are the immune cells that will be combined with Braelyn’s own tumor lysate to create her personalized brain tumor vaccine. After today, the manufacturing process can move fully forward.
It is hard to put into words how grateful we are to everyone who helped make this day possible.
💜 Dr. Linda Liau and the UCLA team for preserving Braelyn’s tumor tissue.
We will never forget that when Braelyn’s tumor was progressing rapidly and options were running out, Dr. Liau stepped forward and agreed to operate. Her skill, compassion, and willingness to act quickly gave our daughter a chance when others would not.
💜 Thomas and other long-term survivors who gave us hope when we needed it most.
💜 Dr. Andrew Caravello for helping us understand the science behind what we’re fighting for.
💜
$NWBO and the incredible team working to bring this technology to patients.
💜 And all of our faithful friends, followers, prayer warriors, and supporters who have encouraged us every step of the way.
A few months ago, this felt impossibly far away.
Today, we’re sitting in the apheresis unit in London watching it happen.
Next stop: vaccine manufacturing.
And next month, we return to begin the induction phase of the
#DCVax process.
Let’s go, Braelyn! 💜🧬🇬🇧
