The Freedom Foundation has helped more than 278,000 public employees across the country leave their union. In New York alone, nearly 7,500 workers have used our materials to resign, including 1,400 this year. So instead of making a better case for why workers should stay, unions are asking Albany to make it illegal to inform them that they can leave — with $1,000 fines per mailing designed to bleed us dry. As the Journal puts it: "No wonder unions are desperate to shut down the Freedom Foundation."

Union protection in New York coming to every state. The status quo union empire is getting scared people are waking up and walking away from the unions. Let’s keep working to defund the unions.
The Wall Street Journal editorial board calls New York's new union bill exactly what it is: a 'Union Protection Act.'

The biggest threat to the political power of unions is the flight of their own members, and New York Democrats want to silence groups that encourage them to opt out. on.wsj.com/4oh72Ah

New York just passed a bill designed to fine the Freedom Foundation out of existence for telling workers they can leave their union. 7,500 NY public employees have already used our materials to do exactly that. The WSJ editorial board sees it clearly — this is a union protection act, not a worker protection act. Gov. Hochul shouldn't sign it. wsj.com/opinion/a-new-york-u…

Randi Weingarten is calling falling test scores a "call to action" and blaming screens. She left out the part where she spent two years fighting to keep kids off school grounds and on those same screens. My latest in @RCPolitics: realclearpolitics.com/articl…

The Freedom Foundation has already helped more than 25,000 public employees opt out of their unions in 2026 — and we're not even halfway through the year. We're on track for our biggest year ever, building on more than 275,000 public employees who have reclaimed their paychecks from forced union dues and stripped nearly $791 million from union coffers.

It's been a month since Governor Ron DeSantis signed Freedom Foundation-backed SB 1296 into law. Make no mistake: Florida set the national standard for union accountability. Another big thanks to Gov. DeSantis for standing with public workers. If you’re a Florida government worker, visit our new union accountability page and see how these changes protect your freedom. freedomfoundation.com/florid…

Check out our latest initiative, Empowered Employees.
🧵If you're a teacher, police officer, first responder, or any public employee tired of your dues funding big labor's politics and bureaucracy, then the Freedom Foundation's newest project is for you! Nearly 7.8 MILLION government employees are stuck contracts with big unions like the NEA, AFT, SEIU, and AFSCME. Many never voted to unionize. They're getting "representation" whether they want it or not. And those unions answer to national headquarters, not to them... (1/6)

Not a conspiracy
Katie Miller: “What’s a conspiracy theory that you believe in?” Liz Wright, wife of Trump Energy Secretary Chris Wright: “…The teachers unions want to keep the students stupid so they can control them and turn them into Democrats.”

The Freedom Foundation's newest project, Empowered-Employees.com, explains the three real options you have thanks to the Supreme Court's 2018 Janus decision: Decertify your union by secret-ballot vote Form a new, truly independent union in its place Or disaffiliate entirely! Illinois teachers and Washington police officers have already done it and won back control. Now it’s your turn. Get started here: EmpoweredEmployees.com

Whenever a public employee tries to seek out the truth, unions tend to withhold it. For too long, workers had nowhere to turn — until now. That's why we launched Empowered Employees: a bold new resource for teachers, police officers, first responders, and all government employees who want something better. When employees know the truth — union lies become painfully clear.
🧵Big news from Freedom Foundation! We're thrilled to launch Empowered Employees: our bold new project to give teachers, police officers, first responders, and government employees the freedom they deserve. If you’re a public worker tired of your dues going to unions who don’t listen, this is for you. Nearly 7.8 MILLION government employees are stuck in contracts with giant unions like the NEA, AFT, SEIU, and AFSCME. Many never even voted to unionize. These organizations take your dues, donate to political causes you may oppose, and leave you with "representation" that's expensive AND unresponsive.

Nice gaslighting from AZCentral. No, the sky isn’t falling. HCR2040 simply prohibits your tax dollars from being used to support teachers unions. It still completely allows teachers to join unions, pay any associated dues & operate within that structure.
Opinion: Arizona Republican lawmakers want to strip teachers of the right to join a union, weakening their ability to advocate for their classrooms. azcentral.com/story/opinion/…

A ghostwriter. Headshots. A million-dollar law firm. And $125K in her own pocket. This is what union leadership looks like when there's no accountability.
🚨We just dropped a bombshell report exposing how Randi Weingarten's union, the American Federation of Teachers, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in teachers' hard-earned dues money to bankroll her vanity book project. They dropped over $400,000 on a ghostwriter, paid for her professional headshots, a fancy literary agent, and even a million-dollar law firm to review the manuscript — all while Weingarten pocketed $125,000 herself through a shady LLC...
