WATCH NOW: A brand new animated video from Freedom Foundation that exposes the maze of confusing opt-out windows and ignored communications many public employees have to go through. "Public employees deserve a real choice."

Government unions have rigged the game in their favor, and working Americans have paid the price ever since.

At the Freedom Foundation, we believe reform only happens when people are willing to be bold. That’s why we take on government unions directly. Accountability belongs to the people, not government insiders who profit from the system. The results: landmark lawsuits won, hundreds of thousands of workers freed from unions dues, and millions of dollars redirected back to the pockets of working Americans. Our mission is to restore freedom and put power to the people. Join in the fight today. freedomfoundation.com

The @WSJ editorial board explains why Albany wants to silence the Freedom Foundation: nearly 7,500 New York public workers have used our materials to leave their unions—more than 1,400 this year alone. Their "Union Protection Act" doesn't protect workers. It threatens $1,000 fines for the crime of telling public employees they have the right to opt out. As the Journal puts it, unions are "desperate to shut down the Freedom Foundation." wsj.com/opinion/a-new-york-u…

“Who do teachers' unions actually benefit?” That's the question at the center of this debate. If teachers are supposed to be the unions' top priority, the results tell a different story—and it’s a flattering one.

New York Democrats just passed a bill designed to silence the Freedom Foundation. The Wall Street Journal nails it in their piece, “A New York Union Protection Act". This isn’t about protecting workers from fraud. It’s about protecting union bosses from workers who want to keep their own money and exercise their Constitutional rights. 🧵👇

This is a copycat of an Oregon law we’re already challenging in court. The AG can subpoena and fine anyone, in any state, $1,000 per “incident." As the WSJ notes, that adds up fast on mass mailings — the point is to make us stop, or bankrupt us if we don’t. The Journal calls it what it is: a Union Protection Act. It chills free speech. It denies public employees — whose salaries taxpayers fund — basic information about their rights. And it rewards union bosses who have spent decades growing fat and unaccountable on forced dues.

We will not be silenced. Public employees deserve the truth, not a government-protected information monopoly. Read the full WSJ editorial here: wsj.com/opinion/a-new-york-u…

A shocking antisemitic purge at one of America’s largest teachers’ unions. Last Wednesday night, the United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) House of Representatives voted to expel Amy Leserman — an Orthodox Jew, 25-year UTLA member, LA public school teacher, and chair of the Educators Caucus for Israel, @kdeutschjourno explains on his Substack. UTLA denounced Amy by name, branded Zionism “racism,” and accused her of “targeting union activists”. Her offense? Sitting silently on a Zoom call she had every right to attend.🧵

"Parents are constantly told that teachers’ unions exist to support educators and improve schools. A closer look at how the union spends its money and exercises its influence, however, tells a very different story.” @alleighmarre of @USAParent lays it out in the Daily Wire: barely 36 cents of every dollar AFT spends goes toward representing teachers. The rest? Politics, lobbying, and leadership perks. Workers deserve better. dailywire.com/news/another-s…

Natalya Murakhver started @Rstorechildhood to empower parents with information and evidence-based toolkits, so families feel supported speaking up about what’s really happening in their kids’ schools. @Rstorechildhood continues to work to speak out against the teachers’ unions and the other overpowered influences wreaking havoc on the education system.

A union's only job is to serve public employees via representational actives like bargaining over wages, benefits, and working conditions. Spending $$$ on political agendas? Not part of the job.

.@FreedomFdtn's @MaxfordNelsen made it clear at TFS Heartland. Drug cartels control the supply of drugs. OPEC controls the supply of oil. Labor unions, viewed through a purely economic lens, control the supply of labor. Different product. Same structure. Understanding that framework is the key to understanding how teachers' unions have operated for decades.

The Freedom Foundation is proud to stand with Amy Leserman and other Jewish LA teachers in their federal lawsuit challenging forced representation by UTLA. Filed on October 7, 2024, the suit exposes how a union that promotes hostility toward Jewish identity and safety cannot be allowed to forcibly “represent” Jewish workers who pay dues against their will. A federal district court dismissed the case in 2025. We have appealed to the Ninth Circuit, and we're not backing down. This is bigger than one union or one teacher. Across the country, public-sector unions are demanding monopoly power over workers while pushing agendas that threaten Jewish Americans.

Amy Leserman isn’t intimidated. After the expulsion she wrote: “I’ve been kicked out of better places. But I’ve never been more certain the work is landing.” We agree. Every time unions like UTLA expose their true face — driving out Jewish members and treating Zionism as racism — more Americans see the rot in public unions and the urgent need for right-to-work protections. Stand with Amy. Stand with Jewish teachers who just want to teach without being targeted for their faith and heritage. Follow the Freedom Foundation for more on this case.
