We left the Pale and escaped to Whitechapel. We left Whitechapel and found Golders Green, a peaceful slice of suburban England that we could call home.
Peaceful, that is, until now.

.@zarahsultana I assume this is a different Zarah Sultana MP to the one who was recently filmed clapping along to loudspeaker chants for intifada, on a street in Surrey.

The stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green today is deeply shocking and a stark reminder of the very real danger antisemitism poses on our streets.
My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the wider Jewish community.
No one should be targeted because of their faith.
This is truly shocking.
Two Edinburgh festival Jewish comedy shows cancelled by the venue.
"Managers at Whistlebinkies have cited bar staff discomfort at hosting Jewish shows."
@edfringe, it's 2025, not 1935. Get a goddam grip.

THE AUTOGRAPH HUNTER was me, and is here: geni.us/AutographHunter
I really really loved this book for its warm familiarity, its top level Holocaust insights, and for making me physically *laugh*, which - is it our times, or just the tragically deadened carapace of my middle-aged soul? - often seems barely possible these days. Read it, gift it.
🚨Beautiful cover alert🚨 THE AUTOGRAPH HUNTER publishes today! Zadie Smith called it a 'comic and poignant memoir', and Robert Popper said it was 'brilliant' ⭐️ Order your copy here: geni.us/AutographHunter
