Extraordinary commitment from the audience, including the ever marvellous Chris Hawtree. At the premiere in Buffalo there were 30 listeners at the start and 10 at the end. Yesterday we achieved more than that *and no one left*! Brighton wins again! 😍

Four hours yesterday, sky darkening from 2.30 to 6.45, in Brighton to the sound of Morton Feldman's trio "For Philip Guston" with @AdamSwayne, Adam Bushell and Helen Whitaker. Fascinating, almost a full house, and talk afterwards about how much the mind concentrates on any music.

Also what a wonderful college that lets us put on events like this. Moving and tuning six grands takes a huge effort before the music comes to life under the fingers of our brilliant pianists ❤️
