It really is important what kind of information you let into your eye holes
If you doomscroll all the time it's going to have an effect
Having access to see all the world's problems pumped into your feed is adding a level of stress you don't need
We aren't meant to know this much and have this much info pounded into us at this rate, our dopamine receptors re getting fried
But it's more than that - it's depressing, demoralizing, discouraging to see all the atrocities going on across the world nonstop - all the crime, murders, scandals, new scary gov't announcements, etc
That ish will get to you
Regulate your intake - don't wake up and pull out your phone; stop living your life online
I struggle w this myself - but I've found that you really do have to set boundaries and limits on yourself - b/c the online space isn't real life - and all the bullshit can consume you
Make a point of consuming positive content: Christian Biblical content, sermons, wholesome content like Little House on the Prarie, peaceful music, etc
Fill your mind with things that build you up and give you joy and peace
Stop focusing on the horror show all the time
