Because these so-called ‘’assault-style firearms’’ are scary looking… This witch hunt has already cost Canadian taxpayers over $800 million, and the Fraser Institute estimates that it could reach $6 billion… Yet, less than 3% of privately owned banned firearms have been registered through their gun buyback program. Most of the firearms turned in were unsold business inventory from gun shops that were forced to sit on it for years. But this is NOT about guns. This is about private property.
