So, after much nudging, I applied for the Civics Committee at the 11th hour. Literally, 11:45 (UTC 1) to be exact, after mulling over my application responses for a few days. It's looking like quite a crowded field from just a week ago. This is me at our last ever ICC meeting 👇🏻

When I think of Intersect or governance, I see the same faces. Not the everyday people who fill my timeline. Most don’t think it’s for them and that included me. It can feel like a secret club. but there’s more than one community, and the more people from each part of it who get involved, the more we all get heard and represented. Soo.. I’ve applied for a voting seat on the Intersect Membership & Community Committee to help make it easier to understand and more approachable for everyone. Totally out of my comfort zone, but I genuinely think I can help. If I can make even a few more people feel included, it’s worth it.
