Watching the reception to NX Playground got me thinking about Kinect and whether Microsoft gave up on the idea too early. Microsoft moved on from controller-free gaming entirely. But what if the problem wasn't the concept itself, but the way it was packaged within the Xbox

AI and ML are more advanced today than they were when Kinect launched. Kinect's responsiveness could likely be improved. NX Playground may never become a massive platform, but its existence raises an interesting question: was Microsoft right to abandon controller-free gaming?

Looking back, it feels like there was still room to refine the technology, build a dedicated audience, and create a sustainable business around it rather than letting one of the most ambitious gaming innovations of its generation fade away. Just another business thought

Wow a month ago before announcement is not last minute. Surely it’s long enough for something that was planned for most likely 2 years.
A lot has changed since Asha came into role 107 days ago. We are moving fast and it’s frankly pretty energizing inside the hallways here. I was made aware of these exclusives roughly a month in advance. Hope that helps!

Th Xbox showcase was good but I still say this dual publisher and platform holder thing doesn’t work well. Separate MS game publishing from the platform XBOX. As a PS owner all I saw today was games I can get on PS5 and one game I would love to play but can get on steam later.

Now I may not be the target audience for XBOX. I do feel if they want exclusives then separate the publishing side from Xbox platform. Have a synergy that works. Divide the studios. Two Separate businesses under a single vision of being the biggest entertainment company globally

Previous Game Pass price hike accelerated subscription losses and slowed growth, price cut is starting to reverse this, "hard choices" ahead for Xbox, says CEO Asha Sharma:
▪️"Growth slowed down and subscriber loss accelerated after the pricing and SKU changes last year," said Sharma. "Since our price reduction we have seen acquisitions grow and retention improve, which is a good first step"
