is the 787 damned or what? I'm not going to fly in it
A passenger aboard United Airlines Boeing 787-9 flight UA2 from Singapore to San Francisco posted a video showing water leaking from an air grille. The passenger alerted a flight attendant, who then notified the flight crew. According to the passenger, the pilots came to inspect the issue and appeared visibly puzzled before calling in maintenance personnel. Passengers were escorted back to the terminal while maintenance checked it. Ultimately, the 15-hour flight was canceled. My take: Singapore's extremely humid climate means the water could have been the result of air-conditioning condensation or a leak from a water line. It's a lot easier to fix these things on the ground because maintenance is never done in the air. 📹: u/Xycergy

The Moors who conquered Iberia were primarily Berber Muslims from North Africa with some Arabs, and North African ancestry in modern Iberians is low (0-11%, highest in south/west). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moors en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_h…

What about : Housing affordability, Job security, No Wars, Cost of children care, healthcare and education. This is a silly and a rapid shortcut to say it's smartphones
No smoking gun, but the preponderance of evidence points to smartphones, not economics, as the culprit for the global drop in fertility: • In the US and UK, births fell first and fastest in areas that got 4G earliest • Birth rates were stable in the US, UK and Australia until 2007; in France and Poland until 2009; in Mexico and Indonesia until 2012; in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal until 2013-15 Each of these inflection points matches local smartphone adoption (see picture). • The younger the age group, the sharper the drop. • in-person socialising among young adults is dropping. In SK, by 50% in 20 years • Sexual dysfunction is higher among heavy social media user • Effect is largest in culturally traditional societies — Middle East, Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa • Decline holds across countries hit hard by GFC 2008 and those not hit, fast-growing and not growing. Excellent again @jburnmurdoch. ft.com/content/fba35eca-df3a…

Traveling really isn’t that impressive. It’s not hard to do. You just go to an airport and get on a plane. It’s not a big accomplishment. Then you go somewhere and you have no responsibilities or obligations and just wander around and so of course it’s pleasurable enough. Traveling is fine. I’ve been to about 45 countries. But it’s not worth making big sacrifices for or delaying real life more than a year or two or anything like that.

Western Sahara constitutes a territory under Moroccan occupation. The right of the Saharawi people to self-determination is firmly established under international law.
