What does it take to put humans on Mars? 🔴 You need to head to Houston to help answer that. The 2026 Humans to the Moon and Mars Summit (H2M2) runs July 21 to 23 at Rice University in Houston, Texas, hosted there for the first time. H2M2 gathers leaders from NASA, industry, and academia to work on the hard questions behind our return to the Moon and the future crewed missions to Mars. One of those questions sits at the heart of ESCAPADE, NASA's twin-spacecraft mission studying the magnetosphere of Mars launched on Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket in November 2025. We just wrapped up an energizing week at the 26th Space Resources Roundtable (SRR XXVI) at Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado, where we had the opportunity to discuss In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) across cislunar, lunar, asteroidal, and martian environments. Advanced Space was proud to contribute to this dialogue, highlighting how mission design, navigation, and operations can unlock the value of ISRU—turning local resources into enabling capabilities for logistics, power, and long-duration presence in space. Our own Dr. Jeff Parker presented “Efficient Station-keeping of Very Low Lunar Orbits,” highlighting how advanced trajectory design and navigation can make low-altitude orbiting and mapping at the Moon a reality, thanks in part to its Low-energy ballistic lunar transfer (BLT) from Earth to the Moon! Technical deep dive alert! 🚨🚨🚨 Did you know that Advanced Space’s CAPSTONE™ mission has a chip-scale atomic clock (CSAC) aboard? Precise onboard timing is essential for any space operations and the same is true for cislunar operations. The difference is that at the Moon, the complexity is magnified due to the great distances and varied gravitational pull. This tiny but powerful tool still achieves precision and demonstrates how spacecraft can autonomously track position, reduce reliance on Earth-based systems, and improve coordination across lunar missions. The chip-scale atomic clock on CAPSTONE was built by Microchip of Chandler, Arizona and was provided for the mission by CAPSTONE partner Orion Space Solutions, an Arcfield company. Mission partner Terran Orbital built the spacecraft. At the Moon, precise timing is the foundation for what comes next. Advanced Space is making major strides on AFRL’s Oracle-Prime mission 🚀 As the prime contractor for the mission, Advanced Space is developing a next-generation satellite designed to detect, track, and maintain awareness of objects in cislunar space, the complex region between Earth and the Moon. 🌎🌕 Following a successful Preliminary Design Review in December with partners Terran Orbital and Quantum Space, Oracle-Prime is on track for delivery in 2027. Advanced Space is working towards stronger planetary defense with a new rapid-response mission concept. ☄️ A recent feasibility study shows spacecraft can be designed, launched, and deployed within weeks to months to perform fast flyby reconnaissance of potentially hazardous Near-Earth Objects (NEOs). This capability would allow teams to quickly gather critical data like size, shape, and composition, to inform mitigation strategies. Using proven commercial systems and navigation expertise demonstrated on CAPSTONE™, the architecture can reach targets with remarkable precision, even at extreme speeds. The study also identified over 100 candidate asteroids, covering more than 90% of potentially threatening NEOs. If a dangerous asteroid were discovered tomorrow, could we respond in time?
