A cataract happens when the lens of your eye, which is normally clear, becomes cloudy. Although most cataracts develop slowly, they impact vision overtime and can make it hard to read, drive at night or perform other activities.
Getting a yearly vision exam can help your doctor catch and manage cataracts before they start to affect your quality of life. Talk to your doctor if you notice any changes in your vision, like light sensitivity, double or blurry vision, or trouble seeing at night.

Knowing what to do in a choking emergency can save a life. On Heimlich Maneuver Day, take a moment to learn the difference between helping an infant and helping older children or adults.
For babies under 1 year: Use a combination of back blows and chest thrusts — not abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver).
For children over 1 and adults: Use abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) if they are choking and unable to breathe or speak.
