“Last year, we recorded about 37,000 new HIV infections. This means that as a country, we continue to spend significant resources each year managing new cases. If we are able to reduce these infections, we will save more money in the long run, funds that can then be invested in other critical areas that drive development.
I therefore urge stronger collaboration and coordination in all HIV financing discussions. We have many platforms and forums focused on financing, but our impact will be greater if we speak with one unified voice. Let us align our efforts, pool our resources, and ensure that our ideas are translated into real actions and results that move us closer to ending HIV”
