The air we breathe remains unhealthy across many parts of our nation. And despite progress in pockets, much work remains. As ⁦@LungAssociation⁩’s annual State of Air report released today shows, nearly of all kids are impacted. Developing lungs are uniquely vulnerable.

@CleanAir4KidsUK is changing the face of Bristol! Well done Ruth! Looking forward to seeing the finished piece 😎
From daydream to reality: a mural on air quality at UPFEST - Europe's largest live street art festival in Bristol. I was excited to try getting out of the information silos & communicate directly with people who aren't going to hear or engage with "ventilation".. 🧵

Finding new ways to engage with people about the benefits of clean air in schools and public spaces isn't easy. This is a really interesting initiative and it creates a talking point; a way to start these conversations more widely. Good luck Ruth and @CleanAir4KidsUK!

Covid doesn't take the summer off and neither do I, we need a push for awareness and change now more than ever. I will continue helping others and over the next few months kick the noise into high gear, so if you'd like to help support my efforts I would appreciate it, even a share goes a long way. There is a lot of work to be done and I am ready to make some noise and help some people along the way. #AwareWeCare @canuckbcinbc @ali_b_where @sophie_bloomz @jsquipu @choccieboy @CarolinePamp @Rhan_or_Lilybet @SSDGHDB7 @CoolDrainX @Brothersjef @hoyjabits @DonaldKerry @lo_rainne @PasserbyA2 @ekschaeff @Flazsky @D_Tea4Two @OkatieQ @ellaeIIa @MakuMinoru68 @7566Books @eyeballbay @drstiehl_m @AnntoninaR @ShineOn35032621 @OleKingColeAtl @RhianneHarben @KESagers @amber_colatosti @lmrpellegrino @seawaydweller @pie_rat @utopaymara @Rombea2 @yasroro @ickleflufybunny @springymel @Joshua_Sci @CadieuxLinda @erineslo @admiralizzy @mauvereen2 @DDG97560547 @no65902097 @happylittlebean
I’m going to work hard to raise as much awareness as I can. Now is the time to change course. I kicked off fundraising around 19 months ago to... 1. Raise Awareness for Covid and Long Covid. 2. Provide education assistance to families. 3. Provide advocacy assistance. 4. Advocate for education, mitigation, and air filtration. 5. Contact as many political and workforce leaders as I can to request immediate action. gofund.me/c4dae9171 If you'd like to donate to my efforts that's great, if you can't that is understandable, and if you just don't want to I would even appreciate a share. I am not raising money to stockpile cash and if we raise a large amount it will go toward setting up a non-profit and hiring a team. That is a far off, long shot goal however so until then I will continue to try to create a job for myself with the help of those who value my work and want to help others. I will assist people as best I can, I will make as much noise as I can, and I will contact as many policy influencers as I can to help turn the tide, and if you'd like to support the kind of work I'd appreciate it. gofund.me/c4dae9171 No obligation friends, if you’re tagged just remove it and I appreciate it if you’ve already donated or even shared. YerAweSum!

"Despite considerably more knowledge, tools and resources, the trajectory of pandemic risk is moving in the wrong direction". As I have often said, the politicisation of Covid-19 - both the disease and the response - has made the world less prepared for the next pandemic.

@pubhealthaction and @AirSupportBox will co-host a discussion on Sunday, May 24th at 5pm ET about clean indoor air in healthcare settings. We'll talk about how to stay safe from airborne pathogens in healthcare settings, how to deal with unaware or hostile healthcare personnel, how patients can advocate for themselves in healthcare settings, and what some doctors' offices and hospitals are doing to ensure clean air for patients. Our guest speakers will be Maria Walls, a nurse practitioner in St. Louis who sees Long COVID patients, and Donna Zelazny, a nurse with Long COVID. You'll need a free Zoom account in order to register, link in bio. See you there! tinyurl.com/cleanairhealthca…

As the Andes hantavirus outbreak linked to the MV Hondius cruise ship expands across multiple countries, researchers are warning that airborne transmission must be taken seriously. Current guidance in some settings still recommends medical masks, despite respirators such as N95, FFP2, and FFP3 masks being specifically designed to protect against airborne infectious particles. Medical masks are not designed to provide the same level of airborne protection. With documented person-to-person transmission, uncertain infectious timing, and long incubation periods, the World Health Network is calling for stronger airborne precautions, including universal respirator use and clearer public communication around airborne risk.
