OPEN ACCESS: The relationship between changes in pain intensity and functional disability in people with disabling LBP during a course of CFT is very close for most. For others disability reduces in spite of pain.

New study indicating that sensory testing profiles (no such thing as “pain hypersensitivity”) do not explain the transition from acute to chronic back pain. High psychological distress in acute LBP is a better indicator of long-term DISABILITY, but not PAIN outcomes!
