Dear @LNER when did 10.00 am become Lunchtime? Just boarded the 10.40 Durham to London King’s Cross and was looking forward to a late breakfast, maybe an avocado muffin or a bacon roll. But no, in LNER world 10.50 is lunch/evening menu time. Really? #disappointed #hungry

On a train running over 200 minutes late, why do they say that rather than 3 hours 20 minutes late? On the positive side I am only running 60 minutes late and I have a ticket valid on any carrier, so no penalty fare. #YorktoDurham @LNER @CrossCountryUK

Shout out to the staff on the much delayed @CrossCountryUK train from York to Glasgow. Sorting arrangements for passengers travelling beyond Edinburgh, arranging hot drinks in the ‘extra train’ connected to the set. Doing so with politeness and good humour, thank you.

Finally 2 things happened at the same time. I got a call purporting to be from @dpd_deliveryUK_ and my parcel arrived. Offered compensation over the phone but it involved giving information & downloading an app I didn’t know. Probably legit but I didn’t want to take the risk
