The two day United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Asian Partner Roundtable at the UN Campus, Bonn, Germany commenced on 12.05.2026. Shri Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, along with Shri Salil Kumar, Director, MY Bharat, participated in the first day of the Roundtable.
The Roundtable brought together partner nations for strategic dialogue, exchange of partnership results and discussions on the UNV Strategic Framework 2026–2029 - fostering meaningful networking and bilateral engagements while reaffirming India's strong commitment to global volunteerism, youth engagement, and sustainable development.

Sandra Bernklau is UNFPA Representative in Cambodia. We first met in Fiji years ago and I knew her as a champion of human rights.
Only now I learned that in 1990s Sandra was UNV Coordinator in the Pacific, supporting volunteers in Marshall Islands, Micronesia & Palau as they emerged into independence.
