PRESIDENT OBIANG VISIT TO TAKE ZIMBABWE–EQUATORIAL GUINEA TIES TO NEW HEIGHTS
President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has said that relations between Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea continue to strengthen, with the State Visit by Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo providing a significant opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation and elevate diplomatic, economic, and development partnerships.
Speaking on the importance of the visit, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa said the engagement reflects the enduring friendship and solidarity between Harare and Malabo. He noted that the visit marks the beginning of a new chapter in relations, anchored on shared aspirations for economic growth, regional integration, and sustainable development.
The two nations are expected to explore expanded cooperation in strategic sectors including mining, energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, trade, education, health, and tourism. Enhanced collaboration in these areas is expected to create new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and people-to-people exchanges.
President Mnangagwa emphasized that stronger ties between Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea demonstrate the growing spirit of African unity and South-South cooperation, as countries on the continent work together to unlock their economic potential and improve the livelihoods of their citizens.
President Obiang's visit underscores the commitment of both governments to strengthening political dialogue, fostering economic partnerships, and building a prosperous future based on mutual respect, friendship, and shared development goals.
