Total paralysis at Celtic, a massive tactical pivot for Rangers with McInnes, and new IFAB rules taking over the World Cup. 🤯 Scottish football is beautifully chaotic right now. @jucojames @Alan_Morrison67 Link below.

DM request: Youssef Chermiti is a good CF with very high finishing probability but low passing game probability and defending probability. But for a striker we don't care about those two as long as finishing probability is high. At least 25/26 was a much better season for Youssef Chermiti than 24/25 which was basically his only bad season in his career. Yet, if you look at his seasonal chart you can see that the good performance really only happened at the end of the season. So while everything about Youssef Chermiti is quite positive, there is the small risk of having his stats boosted by a relatively small number of games this season. Replacement value for Rangers = €8.4M

DM request: Emmanuel Fernandez is a very good CB with maxed out defending probability and okayish passing game probability. As his career chart shows this has been the case for the last three seasons. His seasonal chart shows that he can contribute to the finishing of the team, probably in set pieces. It is a bit unfortunate that he was more successful in this regard in the first half of the season then the second half, because a better finishing probability would make him sensational. Replacement value for Rangers = €6.9M

We nearly paid 1m to Aberdeen for Derek McInnes. I will never go a single day without thanking him for being a massive shitebag.

By the way, that’s why we didn’t want Derek McInnes: Rangers imploding, ref giving them everything, totally dominant and they STILL can’t beat us. Guy’s a fucking loser.

Comments here instructive Blind faith (WATP) fills vacuum caused by refusal to understand reality of environment / market dynamics
Given the apparent retrograde pivot at Rangers (possibly in response to weak season ticket renewals?) and the counter coup at Celtic in January, the Belgium analog is probably broken for now. There probably isn't a "Club Brugge," which only leaves...

Was looking for the Simon Houston screenshot that I have again added in this reply and have added an earlier comment from the same instigator in conjunction. Where and when does this end? Is this all about money?

In the Desmond micawber heuristic, Celtic were "well prepared" for the 10IAR season. Amidst a global pandemic and lockdowns, the club had a net spend of several million £ despite running a non-player trading operating deficit of over £13 million. Resource advantage has its

How to make simple complicated
Celtic have yet to agree terms with backroom staff duo Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham. This has delayed the announcement of Martin O'Neill's return as permanent manager of the club. 📝 Exclusive from @mcgowan_stephen 🔗heraldscotland.com/sport/261…

The anti-Shankland and Hearts will be all the better for it, not that any of their fans will accept that See USG for lessons
Tony Bloom's Hearts with another pressing, depth-threatening ST from a lower division outside their region Don't have to have the best scoring numbers overall, but they have to be workhorses and show underlying skills that shine so bright with better teammates overall

On 9th May, we said the Lisbon Lions 60th deserved more than a strip launch. We called for Champions League football as the foundation, a prestige friendly at Celtic Park, and a pilgrimage to Lisbon to play where it all happened. A month later, a friendly in Portugal appears. We are not claiming they read our post. But when supporters have to publicly suggest what a competent board should have planned years ago, and it then quietly materialises, that tells you everything about the difference between reactive spending and strategic planning. The question was never “can Celtic arrange a friendly?” It was “why wasn’t this part of a published plan that supporters could see, believe in, and get behind?” A strip. Then a friendly. Drip-fed, not designed. That’s not a strategy. That’s damage limitation. The Paradox Paper explains why this keeps happening: celticsupporters.net/the-cel… #CelticParadox #CSL #CelticFC #LisbonLions

🗓️ Two more pre-season fixtures have been confirmed on the back of the home game against AC Milan on July 25. More info ⤵️ #CelticFC🍀
