THE GREATER ISRAEL PROJECT represents an aggressive vision of territorial expansion that has driven Israeli policy for decades. Rooted in [fictional] biblical claims and Zionist maximalism, it envisions control over lands stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates, encompassing all of historic Palestine, southern Lebanon, parts of Syria, Jordan, and beyond. While not always publicly stated as official doctrine, the pattern of settlement expansion, military invasions, buffer zones, and demographic engineering reveals a clear strategy of conquest and displacement. This project has manifested most brutally in the genocidal invasion, destruction, and occupation of Gaza, alongside intensified repression in the West Bank and military aggression into Lebanon.
Following the IDF's intentional, 7-hour military stand-down against the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, which Israel had prior knowledge of (by Egypt), Israel has unleashed a three-year long campaign of unprecedented ferocity against Gaza. What was cynically labeled by Israel as an act of "self-defense" quickly revealed itself as a systematic effort to erase Palestinian life and presence from the lands they have lived in for thousands of years. The Israeli military, with its overwhelming firepower, which is backed by unconditional U.S. support, has conducted thousands of airstrikes, ground invasions, and a total siege that has cut off food, water, fuel, and medicine. Gaza has been turned into a slaughterhouse. According to health authorities and international monitors, by mid-2026 the Palestinian death toll has now surpassed 70,000, with over 200,000 wounded. These figures likely undercount indirect deaths from starvation, disease, and lack of medical care.
The human cost has been especially devastating when broken down by gender. Over 38,000 women and girls were killed, with women and children making up the majority of civilian casualties in many strikes. Entire families were annihilated in their homes, schools, and supposed safe zones. Israeli forces repeatedly bombed (and continue to bomb) hospitals, refugee camps, and aid convoys, showing a deliberate pattern of targeting of civilian infrastructure. More than 80 percent of Gaza's buildings have been reduced to rubble, creating a moonscape of destruction that renders any future return or reconstruction nearly impossible. This is not collateral damage; it is the calculated destruction of a society (a genocide) in order to facilitate land clearance for the Greater Israel project.
The suffering of Palestinians under Israeli occupation has been relentless and dehumanizing. In the West Bank and East Jerusalem, families endure daily humiliation at checkpoints, arbitrary arrests, home demolitions, and settler violence that often occurs with full IDF military complicity. Water resources are stolen, farmland confiscated for illegal settlements, and movement severely restricted. Children are dragged from their beds in night raids, detained, interrogated, and according to many doctor reports, many young boys have even been castrated by IDF soldiers who aim at Palestinian boy's genitalia for target practice. This system of control amounts to apartheid, with separate laws, roads, and rights reserved for Jewish settlers while Palestinians are treated as disposable obstacles to expansion. This system of indiscriminate, wanton killing of non-combatants amounts to war crimes amounting to genocide under the definitions set adopted internationally after WWII.
Lebanon has also fallen victim to this expansionist drive. Israeli airstrikes and ground operations underway in in southern Lebanon since February 29, 2026 have killed thousands of Lebanese, displaced over two million people so far, and devastated ("Gazzified") towns and villages. Infrastructure lies in ruins as Israel carves out its so-called "buffer zones" and asserts dominance over Lebanese territory. These actions echo past invasions by Israel into Lebanon, and exposes the regional ambitions of the Greater Israel project: destroy every building, seize the land, and eliminate any challenge to total control.
Israeli Defense Forces soldiers have committed numerous documented human rights violations that have shocked the conscience of the civilized world. Reports detail systematic torture of Palestinian detainees, including beatings, stress positions, sexual assault, and degrading treatment in military prisons. Videos circulated by soldiers themselves show them vandalizing homes, mocking corpses, and celebrating destruction of Christian symbols. Journalists, aid workers, and medical personnel have been deliberately targeted, with hundreds killed so far. The pattern of Israel attacking clearly marked civilian targets, using starvation and thirst as a weapon, and destroying life-sustaining infrastructure constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity. International bodies have rightly accused Israel of pursuing policies that meet the legal definition of genocide, which is the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national or ethnic group."
This is not the behavior of a nation defending itself. It is the conduct of an occupying power drunk on military superiority and shielded by political impunity here in the U.S. among our nation's ruling class. The Israeli government and its supporters here in America cynically invoke security needs while openly pursuing land theft and ethnic cleansing. Every new settlement, every demolished home, every dead child in Occupied Palestine and Lebanon advances the Greater Israel agenda. The occupation is not temporary; it is a permanent project of domination and erasure.
Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon live in constant trauma. Generations have known nothing but displacement, poverty, and violence. Mothers bury their children under rubble. Fathers search for loved ones in mass graves. Survivors face disease, malnutrition, and psychological devastation in tent camps and ruined streets. Meanwhile, the international community watches with complicity, offering weak condemnations while U.S. arms continue to flow to Israel even though more than 70% of Americans fiercely oppose what's being done with those weapons.
Israel's actions demand the harshest condemnation. The right to what Israel deems "security" cannot justify mass slaughter, collective punishment, or the leveling of an entire territory. The scale of death and destruction in Gaza far exceeds any legitimate military objective, or the concept of "proportional justice" as described in the Hebrew Bible. In fact, it reveals a profoundly racist ideology that views Palestinian lives as expendable in service of Jewish supremacy and territorial greed. The IDF's culture of impunity, where soldiers face little to no accountability for abuses, further exposes the moral bankruptcy of this expansionist enterprise.
The Greater Israel project is a catastrophe for Palestinians and a permanent stain on U.S. foreign policy. It perpetuates endless cycles of violence, radicalizes new generations, and destabilizes the entire region. True peace will remain impossible as long as this expansionist, genocidal agenda of Israel is permitted to continue. The world must recognize the reality: Israel's military actions in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon constitute ongoing war crimes and a live project of ethnic cleansing. Palestinians deserve justice, accountability, and an end to this brutal occupation. Mankind must not continue to permit the continuation of this horror. Israel must be stopped now.
