Beautiful Staffordshire Oak from a sustainably managed forest. These staves will be drying out for another wee while before being made into casks for our spirit.

#Throwback - A cooper mending a barrel at Belhaven Brewery, circa 1960s - wooden barrels required continual maintenance. The cooper was skilled in repairing & fabricating the company's stock, working in conjunction with a blacksmith who supplied the metal parts - John Gray Centre
Since our visit to The Flying Horse in Rochdale @FlyerRochdale on Saturday they have bought their own wooden barrels. Anyway hope to see you all at the Oldham beer festival on the 2nd April
