Once again, Canadian chicken farmers ensured there was an ample chicken wing supply for Super Bowl Sunday — 84 million wings to be precise! As Canada’s number one meat protein, chicken wings were the MVP of Super Bowl menus.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining MLA Brandon Lunty and farmers with Alberta Chicken Producers’ for their volunteer day at Food Banks Alberta. We helped sort and pack donated items for distribution, along with presenting a donation of $30,000 from Alberta’s chicken farm-families to Food Banks Alberta. I commend Alberta Chicken Producers for their commitment to bettering our communities and ensuring families can continue putting food on their tables. They are a great example of the generosity and kindness that our agriculture sector is known for.
