With the phenomenal rate of unemployment growth perhaps the immigration tap should be firmly “off” with only specialist skills allowed to move to NZ whilst the NZ economy is cratering.
Im sure NZ does not need to import liquor store managers.

Todays announcement by RBNZ shows that the economy will remain weak going into 2025, and that unemployment will continue to climb. The forecasts show employment is likely to remain below 2023 levels until Dec 2025 – while the labour force grows 28,000 during that period. a 🧵

Except everything Hansen lied about has not come to pass. The polar caps still exist. Antarctica gets record snow fall. Heat is no hotter than it was 100 years ago. Weather stations however, have never moved whilst concrete jungles have expanded, falsely altering data.

The huge difference is when climate change became big news in the late 1980s, and early 1990s, public climate change denial was almost unknown. So when scientists spoke about it, a load of people brainwashed in fossil fuel propaganda, didn't deny it, very vocally.

Depends whether the environmentalists highlight the damaging effects of plastic and how everything plastic can be made from hemp, or if they focus on the Hansen lie. I’ll listen to the former but the latter are fools.

Because I have been engaging with non-environmentally aware people, for over 50 years, I have fully realized just how little environmental awareness, penetrates the mainstream.
I've generally avoided environmentalists, because of this.
