$PRCL staking is coming ⌛️ The $PRCL token is at the core of Parcl's intention to become the premier global venue for liquid real estate exposure and the global standard for real-time real estate pricing and analytics. 🔒 Staking is foundational to this vision, unlocking the full potential of the Parcl ecosystem in terms of governance, future protocol incentives and Parcl Labs data access. This post highlights the mechanics of the Parcl staking program. Stay tuned for more details on staking utilities early next week. Staking Mechanics: • The feature will be launched in early July • Staking on Parcl is measured in epochs. 1 epoch = 7 days. The initiation of the first epoch will be announced next week • When users deposit $PRCL into a staking contract, there is a warm-up period — staking commences at the start of the next epoch • Similarly, when un-staking tokens, there is a 5-week cool-down period before they can be withdrawn. Further details outlining PRCL staking utility, integrations and launch timelines will be shared early next week.

Instead of extracting value, we’re meant to create opportunities for those who are less privileged, and to enable them to participate in the value creation of our global economy. We’re supposed to create a future without borders, a truly global economy and society. Somewhere along the way we’ve lost our roots, forgotten about our principles and the future we are meant to create. A large part of our industry has devolved into a money making machine for those who want to get rich quickly. The last 2 years have shown the worst sides of Crypto. Ponzinomics, meme frenzies, influencers, narrative-driven hype and pump and dumps. It was about extracting value - not creating it. We were supposed to bank the unbanked, but we’ve mostly created one of the greatest exit strategies for insiders to dump on retail. If all that we’ve achieved is to make a bunch of nerds rich so that they can live in their mansions, then we’ve collectively failed. What is happening with the anti-crypto stance of the US is very unfortunate but it’s not surprising. Considering what has happened over the last year and how we’ve let this industry be run by rampant scammers, grifters and thieves. Millions of people have lost their life savings because we’ve given a handful of people too much power and have allowed them to build the exact centralized money houses we were meant to replace. All we can do is convince them that we're building real technologies that provide real value. What is happening today should not discourage us from marching forward. We cannot afford to run our digital world on centralized systems which are controlled by a few. Only decentralized technologies that are impartial, incorruptible and unstoppable can create the future we need. We will only achieve this if we go back to our old ways, be rooted in principles and work on visions of a better future. Let’s stay focused on creating real value with the technologies, networks and ecosystems we’re building. I'm convinced that we are on the right path to realize the potential of Crypto and prove all the critics and skeptics wrong. It will take time, but with the amount of talented builders, amazing creators and principled thinkers that are part of this industry we will march forward and go back to creating value.
