New study shows that in one single island in the Canary Islands, ca. 50,000 pet cats (i.e. not feral!) prey on over 1.5 million animals/year including an estimated 632,222 (593,790–670,426) (endemic) reptiles and 284,834 (267,519––302,046) birds:

She found a strong negative relationships between nestbox occupancy and distance from the nearest colony.
