Turns out the old "no cheering in the press box" guideline does not apply at the World Cup.

How far is FIFA going with its brand restrictions? The condiments at the Levi’s Stadium press box have all been taped over 😆

Whole lot of yellow in the crowd for Brazil with a solid smattering of red for Morocco. Probably 80-20.

Community policing looks a bit different when the @FIFAWorldCup is in town! Our officers celebrated alongside fans, both international and local, during Day 1 of @FWC26Boston Fan Fest on City Hall Plaza!

FOX is going to have some insane viewership numbers for this tournament. The time zone (obviously) could not be more perfect. Over the next seven days, the earned media for the USMNT is going to be massive. If I had to guess the number for the first knockout game if the U.S. wins its group (July 1 in primetime), I don't think 40 million viewers is impossible.

Good reminder here from @AndrewMarchand. Host Broadcast Services (HBS) provides the live match footage for all World Cup broadcasters. Can’t blame Fox for all of the celebrity shots.
We could use a Pulisic shot over another random celeb. It is World feed so Fox doesn't have control of the main cameras.

Going to hear A LOT of this from NFL players during this World Cup. “Why does FIFA get the good grass but not the NFL?”
Replying to @gkittle46
Also this grass looks great on Sofi’s field… wonder if we could get that all season

Tremendous start for the @USMNT at the World Cup. The federation’s record 26 sponsors have to be feeling optimistic about their investment.

Official attendance figures reflect the number of tickets scanned and spectators present within the stadium footprint, rather than visual assessments of seating occupancy at any given moment during the match. FIFA works closely with stadium authorities and ticketing teams to ensure all published figures are based on verified operational data. Please note that, during last night’s match in Guadalajara, several ticketed fans could be seen standing in concourses rather than staying in their assigned seats throughout the match.
Community note
Photos from the match show thousands of empty seats throughout the stadium, contradicting the claim of only several fans in concourses. nytimes.com/athletic/73524… yahoo.com/news/world/art…
