Rlly important coverage on how disabled UC students are all too often denied an equitable academic experience because there is not enough support on campus. Students deserve to be able to fully devote themselves to learning & growing, not overcoming an arbitrary lack of resources
Too many disabled students are losing out on the equitable academic experience they deserve because of a lack of support & understaffing. UC has an obligation to address this by making a transformative investment in disability support services.

Thank you Regent Hernandez for your leadership on this issue and support of undocumented students!
Excited that we passed a policy that allows for the hiring of UC students without regard to immigration status! A six-month working group will come back with a strategy/implementation plan. In the meantime, UC will look at providing some relief to these students. Stay tuned!

Grateful that the @GavinNewsom budget maintains commitment to UC base support increases in line with compact agreement, but even then we have a long way to bring things like affordability/financial aid, student housing, disability services, etc etc etc to where they need to be
