That was an extremely shitty thing for Mike to try. One of the new lot in 2024, age 41 now. Not impressed. Labour keep pushing me away, it seems.

I need to be absolutely serious for once. Never, EVER reply 'yes' or similar to tweets like this. In the UK you'll do 14 years in jail (not a joke). If you're abroad and visit, you'll be arrested at the airport. Crazy that this tweet was made by a UK politician to trap people.

Texas isn't used to being a big enough state that it's a direct international destination โ€” that's stuff usually reserved for New York and California. It's a sudden realization our state is more cosmopolitan than they thought it was, and a reactionary desire to get rid of it.

You have to understand that there has been an epic freakout brewing for years within the Texas GOP specifically over Muslims, because Dallas and Houston have seen a surge of South Asian and Middle Eastern immigration, to the point these immigrants can form sizable communities.

It is an embarrassment that so far the Greens have been much more liberal in terms of attacking the social media ban than what is supposed to be the countryโ€™s liberal party, the Liberal Democrats.

๐ŸšจUPDATE : Not only may Keir Starmers social media ban be in breach of Article 8 it may now also be in breach of Article 10 of the ECHR. And yes the ECHRs rights extends to children.

You mean more black players? Because the Egyptian National team is 100% African players.
Belgium had more Africans in their team than Egypt.
Community note
Egyptโ€™s 2026 World Cup squad is overwhelmingly Egyptian-born. FIFAโ€™s official squad list shows Egyptโ€™s roster, and published birthplace data lists all players as born in Egypt except Haissem Hassan, born in Paris, France. It is appallingly modern for a future king to attend school. Is he going to do _An Inspector Calls_ at GCSE? Is he going to have to learn how to write 'PEEL paragraphs'?
Great to see another firmly modernising move from the Royal Family

The (proposed!) UK social media ban, after it has been shown to not be enforceable in Australia, really does feel like politics is running on fumes only now.

Based on my own in-house focus group of 2 teens, where the social media ban/curfew will meet serious opposition is YouTube. And when you compare Tom Scott, Veritasium, Kurtzgesagt, Steve Mould or even Let's Game It Out with mainstream TV, it's debatable which is the disinfo.

This tweet should result in the end of Tapp's career. No politician with a shred of decency or integrity asks a question that his own government has made it illegal to answer.

Yes. this was always the problem with electing the chief cop. Keir starmer only gets passionate about bans and crackdowns
Maybe I am naive, but is Starmer going to ban VPNs too?
