Meta just launched Incognito Chat with Meta AI - the world's first truly private way to chat with AI. But I had a lot of questions. How does it actually work? Muse Spark is actually insanely good. IMO, for my uses, the only advantage Claude . ai has on it currently from dozens of hours working with both is 1) coding and 2) context retention within and across chats. Built a little app to learn - I've been using Claude as project manager back end architect, while Meta handled front end design / architecture / creative problem solver while Claude Code handled build. Claude is arrogant, full of shit often, and loves to waste time and spin wheels and pontificate. Muse Spark is no-nonsense, ship first mindset with incredible taste and risk taking ethos. It's like you are plugged directly into $META hivemind. Great job @alexandr_wang - I've enjoyed using Muse Spark more than any model I can recall. If only context were better!

🚀 Muse Spark Safety & Preparedness Report for Meta AI is out. We start with our pre-deployment assessment under Meta's Advanced AI Scaling Framework, covering chemical and biological, cybersecurity, and loss of control risks. Our assessment flagged potentially elevated chem/bio risk, so we implemented safeguards and validated mitigations before deployment - bringing residual risk to within acceptable levels. Beyond the Framework, we also share findings and early explorations of model behavior (honesty, intent understanding, etc.), jailbreak robustness, eval awareness, and more. I took the new Muse Spark to the ultimate test: filing my taxes - 3 different workplaces, consulting, stocks, foreign bank accounts and assets, and kids. One hour later, I had everything done. AGI is here... cc: @alexandr_wang

The coolest thing Meta AI's Muse Spark can do by far is counting objects! As you can tell, it's far from perfect. They call it "visual grounding" and it can count objects and do bounding boxes. I've been playing with the new model and here's what I think so far: Good stuff: – Incredible at vision. It's ability to read text in images is the best I've seen. – Really high quality at web design. It's the only model I've seen that uses Unsplash, OpenLibrary and other images by default. – It's free! You don't pay to use Muse Spark Thinking. Bad stuff: – Meta's classic playbook of growth tactics are dodgy. They're sending Instagram notifs to people's friends without their consent. Their app ranking jump is not organic. – Reasoning itself is pretty solid but not best in class. It can do pretty advanced math and science problems. The long term threat here is Meta has distribution and has the ability to give their model away for free, which makes them a formidable threat to the big AI labs, particularly in consumer.

Not usually a Meta AI user, but wanted to give them a shot after the latest model release (it's free anyway). So I installed the app on my desktop, and noticed "contemplating" mode (didn't see that on the mobile app btw). When I asked a question, 16 agents simultaneously started working on the question which looks pretty cool!

Crazy to see the positive response to Muse Spark. I joined Meta in Dec and was surprised how startup-y MSL feels. Dec through now, through the holidays was literally nonstop building for me. Everyone on the team cares. People want to do great work
