Sony is shooting itself in the foot. While the other SM series were "successful," they weren't as successful as Holland's movies with Marvel. On average, the Holland movies profited over $827M/movie compared to $600M and $500M. Adjusted for inflation, Marvel is still good for SM.

Any time someone asks me about the downfall of comic shops, this right here is what I tell them is the biggest enemy. Folks, you literally only have to call or even email to cancel. Don’t leave shops pulling your books for you If you can’t get them anymore!

A big part of it was @AllStarComicCon, which is far smaller than the bigger US cons, but treated the guests and con-goers with such hospitality and respect that it made the experience tremendously engaging. AND all the comics creators were non-stop swamped. 6/
