And losing time to faffing with settings and people not checking their audio settings, we got about 30 minutes in.
Do I blame the host? Not directly but given I was rocking a PNG at the time and none of the interviewees were PNG I definitely got the feeling of second banana...

Which, okay that could be on me.
But it really showed me how not to run a collab, especially in comparison to some much better large-scale collabs I've been invited to.

There was one Collab I was invited to that was part of the streamer's larger event. In the middle of interviews with streamers there was about an hour scheduled for Goose Goose Duck.
I was clearly invited to make up the numbers, and between the previous segments running late...
Do you guys have any bad collab experiences?
My worst one was a couple years ago with a VTuber. We were supposed to play Valorant together, but something came up on their end. They canceled less than an hour before we were scheduled to go live. I get that emergencies happen, so I reached out to rescheduleโฆ and got completely ghosted. A short while later, they even unfollowed me.
We had similar-sized audiences, so it wasnโt like I was a nobody to them. I was just left hanging with nothing. I hope they were okay, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

The "lurkers aren't counted by twitch!!" cope has always been so crazy to me because if you believe that it's so transparently obvious you only care about the viewership number and not actually building a community people enjoy being a part of. "People aren't numbers!! but I will freak out if I don't see the NUMBER representing the PEOPLE!!"

Some of my fellow horror streamers might be getting emails offering Early Access keys for Deadhaus Sonata, so friendly reminder that their Steam page was updated a while back to include the fact that they gave up developing it normally and started relying on Gen AI slop instead
