One of my most recent projects was a simple photo gallery I made for my brother. He's an indie photographer & wanted a place to show some of his work. Check it out if you can. Thanks 94shoots.com Used: #HTML #CSS #Javascript #JQUERY #Lightroom

Day 12/365 We continue with #csharp & #c Spent some more time looking at #unity & #unrealengine today. Both are amazing to work with but all recommendations point to whichever language u r most comfortable with (c# vs c ). Not rushing into anything tho. We continue...

Day 11/365 In the middle of my #csharp journey ive come to a realization...I love gaming and #unity is written in C#. And being that c/c arent too far off, #unrealengine may also be over the horizon. They say if u do what love it wont feel like work. I do love gaming...

Day 9/365 Wrapping up arrays and working on some custom programming problems where all I have is a brief description of the program, and I have to build a simple version of it. Quick review before jumping into decisions, switch & more input validation #dotnet #csharp

Day 8/365 Like any programming language, today I tackled exceptions & input validation. But not just that, understanding that a number isnt a number when its a string, but needing it to work like a number by converting it, then outputting it back as a string to the user. #dotnet

Day 7/365 Learning string literals in #javascript #es6 #react made String.Format &string interpolation breeze when I finally came back to #csharp #dotnet Its all the same. Its just language. You can communicate with all of them.

Day 6/365 Those moments when you feel like ur thinking like a dev vs having #impostersyndrome Figured out how to target a collection of labels in #csharp to perform an action on all of them when clicking a button. Seems simple enough but not when ur learning new syntax.

Day 5/365 More work with Arrays in #vbnet #csharp Note, a lot of this is review for me since #net is what I "learned" during my degree program. At the time however, It was so confusing to me. Learning #javascript & other languages NOW makes vb and c# feel easier.

Multi Dimensional Arrays in Vb.NET Dim decSeats(2, 4) <--- 3 Rows of 5 columns each Dim decSeats2(2, 4, 6) <-- 3 SETS of 5 rows w/7 columns each. Remember, they are 0 indexed so dont forget that 1.

Day 3/365 More #arrays in #vbnet Today im working on passing arrays as arguments and multi dimensional arrays in .NET Yesterday included finding highest, lowest & average values from an array, as well as resizing arrays using 'redim' when u dont know the array size needed.

Day 2/365 Continued working on #arrays in #vbnet today. Its always interesting how similar everything is across programming. A little change in syntax, sure, but the logic is basically 1:1 all across.

Day 1/365 Spent today working on #VB #NET and #Csharp Arrays.

I remember when I was learning #VBNET I put my head down for like 3-4 months & was just learning it all. I couldnt believe it. Thinking back, I realize something tho, I wasnt doing anything else. No HTML, no CSS, no javascript. No nothing. I was all in on .NET & it just flowed.

So I sent posted in a bit but it’s for good cause. I’ve been job hunting and working on project based learning. While I understand the whole social presence thing, I’m built to get work done. I’d rather keep my head down and focus than to worry abt posts & green GitHub squares.
It’s Saturday night. Kids and wife are asleep. Spent the day with them. Caught a @codingphase live stream earlier got stuff done around the house. Working on my #portfolio some more and #html #css #mjml projects to end the night.

1. Freecodecamp Please try this resource before anything else. It is free, you start coding in less than 90 seconds and it is a fantastic way to start your journey. I will ALWAYS recommend FCC first freecodecamp.org/

If I was at the absolute beginning and wanted to just start learning to code again, here are some resources I would try to look at to start my journey:

Some quick work in #git getting the *finished responsive version of the mock furniture store I made with #reactjs #html and #css. Should be live on my site soon. Alvarezcodes.com
Working on making this #reactjs landing page responsive. Wish me luck 🤞🏾🤞🏾#html #css #javascript #FrontEndDeveloper
