🇧🇫 Le 12 sept. 2025, AWLN Burkina Faso a organisé un webinaire sur « Lutte contre les stéréotypes de genre : acquis, défis et perspectives ». Dans un contexte où les stéréotypes de genre influencent encore les opportunités et la participation de chacun dans la société, ce cadre d’échanges intergénérationnels a réuni 50 participantes de plusieurs pays d’Afrique. Un moment de partage d’expériences qui a permis à la jeune génération de s’inspirer des acquis des luttes passées et de réfléchir aux défis actuels.

I am honored to annonce my appointment as the new Board Chair of the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA), a ground breaking coalition of 55 African Heads of State and Government working to eliminate malaria in Africa by 2030. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of moderating a truly remarkable farewell ceremony for our esteemed outgoing Commissioner, H.E. @AmbSamate. It was a pleasant moment, radiating warmth & admiration, for an exemplary leadership & unwavering courage. Fare the well H.E @AmbSamate.

In a brief ceremony attended by all @AU_HHS staff, H.E @AmbSamate officially handed over the leadership of t/dept. to H.E. @amma_twumamoah, marking t/successful conclusion of her tenure. In a unified gesture of support the staff welcomed t/new Commissioner with a warm round of 👏

The @AU_HHS staff expressed their deep admiration & sincere appreciation for the exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment of H.E. @AmbSamate thru a thoughtfully organized farewell ceremony. The event was filled with heartfelt video speeches & personal tributes. #HandOver

The ceremony also highlighted H.E @AmbSamate’s significant contributions and lasting impact on @AU_HHS & @_AfricanUnion. A special painting & traditional 🇪🇹 gifts that reflected t/profound respect & gratitude from the staff were presented to the Commissioner & her cabinet. 🤝
