Born in Birmingham in 1939, weeks before start of WW2, to Abba, a doctor from India, & Gerda, daughter of a German Trade Unionist.

The band, Let 3, are a famous Croatian left-wing punk group who have mocked the country's nationalism, supported Prides, and once got arrested for performing naked even though the band protested that they weren't cos they had corks in their butts.

Blessed with a full moon tonight as Henry (pictured) punted the season’s first bat safari to Grantchester. Setting off just before dusk with hand held bat detectors we drifted down the river as Iain Webb from The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants interpreted the clicks and squeaks of the bats flying all around us.
