That's because the ending of Toy Story 3 was remarkably poignant and lovely and felt like the perfect place to stop, whereas the ending of Shrek The Third came as a relief because it meant you no longer had to watch Shrek The Third (AKA Ninety Minutes Of Nothing Very Much).
people will call toy story 5 unnecessary but then be happy about shrek 5 existing. it's honestly annoying sometimes

You are all clearly mad. The new designs are *miles* better than the originals. That unsettling uncanny-valley-ish look the humanoid characters used to have? Gone. Stiff coldness replaced with expressive warmth. Unashamed cartooniness instead of apologetic live-action-adjacency.

I played the blinkety heck out of this when it came out on budget for the Amiga; it wasn't a 100% perfect conversion, but it captured the spirit and fun of the coin-op admirably, especially in two-player mode.
Happy birthday, Bubble Bobble! It was released exactly 40 years ago today, on June 16, 1986.
The arcade version was absolutely brilliant, being one of the first games to have a coop-multiplayer option. It was also one of the the most ported arcade games in history, with over 20 ports to home computers and consoles, including even the legendary TI-84 Plus (primarily a calculator).
The port that got the highest praise and came closest to the original arcade experience was the C64 version. Excellent graphics, one of the most recognizable tunes , and great gameplay make Bubble Bobble a timeless classic.
My brother and I played the crap out of this one back in the day, and we still load it up on my old C64 when he comes for a visit. It's like riding a bike, you never forget how to play Bubble Bobble.
