Worst logo rebrand. Looks unpleasant every time I look at it. Loved the old one @Spotify. No offence - I’m a big Spotify fan.
I don’t have a robust enough vocabulary to express how much I hate this “refresh” of Spotify’s logo. Marketing people, can you all please explain why companies feel the need to redesign their logos?

Even if your cause is noble - violence and destruction will undermine all of your efforts. It doesn’t matter if you think you are saving the world - you are destroying society in the process.
This morning, the Court of Appeal upheld the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. It emphasised the care taken in striking a fair balance between Convention rights and the rights of the community, third parties and interests of the UK’s national security, including in circumstances where key national infrastructure had been targeted in violent attacks by this group. The Court also stressed the importance affording the Home Secretary an appropriate margin of appreciation, especially significant in light of the evidence, expert advice and the clear escalating trajectory of the campaign. As a result of proscription, the authorities will have greater powers to disrupt the terror activities of the organisation as well as its recruitment, financial flows and operating model.

I studied English at university. I loved everything until we got to Don Delilo’s White Noise. I found it frustrating and disjointed. Years later he kept coming to mind and I re read it twice. We should be formed by good literature even if we don’t like it at first.
Flannery O'Connor on the teaching of literature in school: "And if the student finds that this is not to his taste? Well, that is regrettable. Most regrettable. His taste should not be consulted; it is being formed."

Civil disobedience: 1) Non-violently transgress a law you believe unjust 2) Accept the legal consequences 3) A public shocked by the harshness of the punishment forces changes in the law. Palestine Action: 1) Smash property and hurt people 2) Demand to be exempted from legal consequences 3) A public shocked by the violence of the crimes committed thinks, "actually these sentences seem rather light under the circumstances."
UK government's ban on Palestine Action is lawful, Court of Appeal says, overturning earlier ruling bbc.in/4uMempi

The whole production probably only cost $1ml. Films that cost millions to make can’t possibly compete - they need to make so much more money to justify creating them.
‘The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act’ opened to $19.5 MILLION domestically, landing a spot in the top 5 at the U.S. box office.

Unpopular opinion: teenagers are the best stage of parenting. It’s the first time I have wanted to freeze time and have them stay this age forever. My 14yo and 16yo are funny, smart and still love spending time with me.
