I am devastated by the news of Charlie Kirk’s death. It is beyond horrific that someone who was changing lives every day...someone I had the privilege of speaking alongside at Turning Point....has been taken in such a violent and senseless way. His energy, conviction, and ability to inspire young people were unmatched. The world is grieving the loss of a powerful and passionate voice that impacted so many. My heart goes out to his wife, Erika, his children, and all those who loved and were inspired by him. This tragedy must serve as a wake up call political violence has no place in our society.

After deep prayer and reflection, I have decided to suspend my campaign for the United States Senate. This decision does not come lightly. I entered this race with a servant’s heart—believing that our nation needs leaders who are grounded in truth, integrity, and faith.
