Official: Andrew Baxley has been named the new Lead Scout for Prep Hoops South Carolina! A young but experienced figure in the basketball community, Andrew brings a passion for and knowledge of the sport in the state of South Carolina! Big things ahead!
Maybe an under-the-radar game for some, but one I was looking forward to:
Ricky Hood and Greer vs Khiry White and Irmo.
Wofford, Presbyterian, UNC Greensboro, Benedict, USC Beaufort, Claflin, Columbia, and the great Lou Bezjak joining me courtside.
There’s a lot to like with Crescent 2028 PJ Deveaux. Slightly undersized, but gets downhill really well, finishes around contact, and is impactful defensively. Could be a breakout guard in 2A this year.
It’s great to see Bryce Ward healthy and back on the court. He looked as dynamic as ever today, particularly with his shooting from range and speed attacking the rack. One of the best guards in South Carolina’s 2027 Class.
Couldn’t miss this one:
Colt Fowler and Byrnes vs Hunter McGraw and Gray Collegiate.
South Carolina, Furman, Wofford, Coastal Carolina, and College of Charleston among a packed sideline.
Solid scoring display on multiple levels from Jerzidan Miller-Brown. The BHP 2027 has good quickness and athleticism to get to the rim, plus he’s comfortable hitting tough jumpers off the dribble in the mid-range and from deep range. 20 points for him in Saturday’s first game.
Hillcrest 2029 Kenneth Bruton is going to be a new name for me to monitor coming out of North Augusta. A quick lefty who makes plays at the rim & can stretch the floor with shooting, Kadyn is a fun guard to watch work. 14 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals for him to open day two.

Back at it bright and early! Day two of the SC Live Team Camp! Can’t wait to see some of the best the Palmetto State has to offer today!

The strong frame and elite athleticism are always on display with Laurence Manning 2028 Scoop Dennis. He’s very intriguing in that regard, because he already defends at a high-rate, so he could be a can’t-miss type of prospect if his offensive game takes the next step.
For college coaches wanting to know about 2028s early, Hunter Collins is definitely one to add to the radar. He’s always been able to score on the inside and defend up, but he’s showing improved perimeter volume and efficiency every time I see him.
25 points on 5 3PM for Northside Christian 2029 Rex Reiser in game two. The new Crusader is one of my favorite guards to watch in his class because of his sweet lefty stroke and elite passing feel. Should be one of the best guards in SCISA over the next three seasons.
Cathedral Academy 2028s Dylan Tasca and Joel Lockard open SCISA Live with big shooting games. They combined for 7 3PM, knocking down shots in a variety of ways to provide spacing for their drivers. Keep an eye on this duo all summer long.
📍 Columbia, South Carolina
One of the biggest weekends of the year starts now! Opening it up with SCISA Live here in Columbia, then heading down to North Augusta tomorrow and Sunday! Good luck to all the players competing over the next three days!
Cheraw’s Elijah McClain is one of the bounciest players in the SC’s 2027 class. He’s always been able to make big-time plays around the rim, but as he continues to improve his jumper and his feel for making others better, he could be an excellent player at the next level.
