DJ Wylie is one of the top defensive prospects on the East Coast. The 6'4" guard is coming off an impressive junior season at Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina, where he played a crucial role in helping the Blazers capture their third consecutive state championship. Wylie brings elite athleticism and versatility to any team he joins. This offseason, he has turned heads on the EYBL circuit with Team CP3, showcasing an outstanding motor, physicality, and willingness to do whatever it takes to help his team win. His performances have already earned him Session Two All-Defensive Team honors, along with Division I offers from Wofford, Harvard, and UNC Greensboro. Wylie's elite athleticism, paired with a 6'9" wingspan, allows him to wreak havoc defensively. He consistently racks up blocks and steals, making life difficult for opposing offenses. His instincts and anticipation stand out, whether he's jumping passing lanes for a steal or perfectly timing a chase-down block in transition. Offensively, Wylie has proven to be a valuable catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc while also possessing the ability to get downhill with force and finish above the rim. His length and explosiveness allow him to finish through contact and extend around defenders at the basket. He also makes a significant impact on the glass, particularly on the offensive end, where he routinely creates extra possessions and generates easy points through putbacks and second-chance opportunities. Wylie is a prospect whose stock should continue to rise throughout the summer. With his elite defensive upside, athletic tools, and winning mentality, he is a player that college programs across the country should be monitoring closely. As he enters his senior season, Wylie will look to help Ridge View capture a fourth consecutive state championship while continuing to establish himself as one of the premier two-way prospects in the region
