Bike Infrastructure Folk, this railing is apparently a 'special railing for bikes' but the shop doesn't know what or how it works / benefits.
Anyone any ideas as to how its 'better' than any other railing?

The only advantage I can think is that, it's welded so hard to dismantle to steal a bike and that maybe the outer railing is an easy height to lock a frame to...

Dropped off with the rather shocked looking folk at @BromptonJnLDN. Waiting for full assessment.
Thankfully from the level of general staff interest/confusion, this didn't seem to be a regular occurrence.

@BromptonBicycle office rang, they are picking the bike up and bringing it back to the factory for inspection / analysis. Extremely understanding and helpful on the phone.

3 deaths on this stretch since 2014.
Increased Pavement, Wide Crossings, wand segregated westbound lane & junction speed tables.
