No oncoming traffic and good visibility gives plenty of opportunity for a safe and legal pass but this driver couldn't give the cyclist at least 1.5m of space so will be taken to task for their careless driving by the new improved N.Yorks Op Snap team. #BoltonAbbey #Burnsall

"Concerned citizens" – my arse. "Patriots" – not one of you. You don't care about Henry Nowak. You abuse his name. You abuse his family. Southampton showed who you really are. Ashamed? You don't know the meaning. 👑

The family asked for peace and privacy. Nigel Farage gave them riots.

131 floating bus stops in Leeds City Council area. 1 of those is where a pedestrian waiting at the floating bus stop lost his life to a motorist. That's the stats of harm caused at floating stops in that city. h/t @ djcaress.bsky.social

Bus speeds lift of 10% 'will grow England usage by 147m per year' - routeone share.google/zV6pxNFz67m4nem… A no brainer, yet @CityofYork still tinkering with detail for the Rougier Route trial to speed up bus journeys in city centre despite having had funds allocated for it since 2022

Same pretty much applies to #york yet similar attitudes prevail. York folk do know however traffic jams far worse on wet school day because some parents switch for walk/ cycle to driving.
Replying to @jonburkeUK
The name “Netherlands” isn’t just a coincidence. It’s a flat country. The highest point is about 300 meters, right on the border with Germany and Belgium. Otherwise, everything is flat. You can get anywhere on an electric bike, and almost anyone can get around on a regular bike, too. I think you have to climb more elevation in the German provincial town of Wuppertal alone than you do in the entire Netherlands.

Welcome. I've been here for 35 years since reaching similar conclusion about Labour.
I have just joined @TheGreenParty A lifelong socialist, I left the Labour in disgust at Starmer's dismal policies, and now feel that the reforged Green Party is where I should lay my hat Great to be on board - some might say better late than never 😊 @zackpolanski.bsky.social
