Its one thing for shitty 3rd parties like StreamElements, WeHype, Lurkit, etc. to lowball creators - they don't care about the long-term marketplace, so they do as much damage and make as much money and gtfo.
But for Twitch, who has a vested interest in creators on their platform - this is a death spiral. The path to making it on Twitch is nearly impossible already, and those who are already there are finding it harder and harder to make sense every day.
Undercutting that very marketplace hurts their long term viability.
I seriously question their tactics, and wonder about the relationship with Amazon, and how this makes any sense at all.

You have to play the shitty game, do a very overt ad for it, and you get nothing in return.
