My grandmother's house was taken because some "businessman" paid the taxes on it when she was late and he gained ownership of her house. He gave her about 3 weeks to move out and she was taking care of my grandfather who was bedridden. They were both in their 80's. She owned that house for over 50 years and then he took it. Now our family home that we were supposed to inherit is gone. She died in her apartment a few years later after my grandfather died after losing the house. The status of the property (same side of my family) that was also is owned in NJ by my great grandfather/mother is unknown. The house/farm burned down years ago. My mom remembers being a little girl in that house in Chiselhurst. I have a feeling that is also lost.
