It’s hard to find myself here again. This site has gotten worse, but many of you still feel like friends. Despite the trolls, I want to share this about my mother, who passed away. Her life as a working-class immigrant mother tells an American story that feels unimaginable now.
Despite my better judgment (the risk of being harassed by trolls) many people on this app feel like friends, so I wanted to share this post about my late father who passed away last week. His life epitomized the American Dream—a dream that often seems elusive today. 🧵

If you gave Baby Jesus when he was born $1,000,000 EVERY SINGLE DAY from when he was born to today (2026 years), he would still have less money than Elon Musk does now. Our economy and society is broken. The rich have so much and the rest of us have so little.

"moderate on social issues" If that's code for identity politics, well then I have to tap the sign. Democratic Socialism has always been about class consciousness and economic policies first. It was Corporate folks who saw slogans and buzzwords easier to implement than taxes.
Replying to @DeepNotShallow
Dems want to move to the center to win elections, and the way you can see socialism as favorable and still want to move to the center is if you stick with left wing economic policies but moderate on social issues. Which is about where I think the average Dem is at.

Socialism is the new center
A new poll from the New York Times shows potential Democratic voters want the party to move to the right, are happy with where it is ideologically, and rate socialism highly. Huh? gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-06…

Psssst, these billionaires aren't donating to Susan Collins because they dislike Platner's scandals. They're donating because they know his working class policies will affect their wealth and power. It's a class war. Wake up
this is oligarchy — pass it on

Throwback to when Congressman Ro Khanna hyped up our very own Melat Kiros running for Congress in Denver. Denver deserves a fighter who refuses Corporate PAC money and stands for an arms embargo, Medicare for All, universal childcare, and the working class. That's Melat!
This is a powerful speech about a new moral direction. When I ran against an incumbent, Democrats walked away from me when I entered a room. I promised myself I would never do that -- not pull the ladder up when I got to Congress. Watch this by @MelatKirosCO for hope.

This is a desperate, baseless attack from a do-nothing, corporate-backed, 30-year incumbent who didn’t bother to actually work for Denver’s vote and now that she sees the grassroots momentum behind us, is resorting to platforming ridiculous lies from some random blog.
Diana DeGette is using all her corporate PAC money to make up lies as her closing message against Melat Kiros. She has no policies so she resorts to slander This is the same messaging Andrew Cuomo tried against Zohran Mamdani. It didn't work in NYC and it won't work in Denver.

AOC and Ro Khanna dream team?
The top two fundraising Democrats in the House of Representatives this Congress are @AOC & @RoKhanna — both progressive populists who reject corporate PAC money. Enough evidence for @DNC to kick the corporate donors to the curb and become the party of the working class again?

Virginia Democrats should just do whatever they want with the map they passed. When are Democrats going to fight fire with fire?!
The ruling in favor of upholding Florida’s new congressional map was 6-1. Justice Jorge Labarga, the sole appointee of Governor of Charlie Crist, dissented. The other 6 justices were appointed by Governor DeSantis.

If Darializa Avila Chevalier defeats Adriano Espaillat next week then every corporate Democrat can and will lose their seats in 2028.
🚨WE HAVE A NEW POLL IN #NY13 🚨 Justice Democrat @DarializaforNY is up FOUR POINTS against AIPAC-backed incumbent Adriano Espaillat. We have so much work left to do, but New Yorkers uptown are clearly ready for a new politics rooted in hope & life — not division & abandonment.
