Democratic Socialism has always been about class consciousness and economic policies first. It was Corporate folks who saw slogans and buzzwords easier to implement than taxes.

Dems want to move to the center to win elections, and the way you can see socialism as favorable and still want to move to the center is if you stick with left wing economic policies but moderate on social issues. Which is about where I think the average Dem is at.

Throwback to when Congressman Ro Khanna hyped up our very own Melat Kiros running for Congress in Denver.
Denver deserves a fighter who refuses Corporate PAC money and stands for an arms embargo, Medicare for All, universal childcare, and the working class. That's Melat!
This is a powerful speech about a new moral direction.
When I ran against an incumbent, Democrats walked away from me when I entered a room. I promised myself I would never do that -- not pull the ladder up when I got to Congress.
