But this misunderstands how leather shoes are supposed to fit. Remember that for most styles, you are supposed to have a bit of space between your toes and the front of the foot. Your toes are not supposed to be all crammed up in this narrow space. It's there for style.

BREAKING: A judge just ordered NM County Commissioner Couy Griffin removed from office under the 14th Amendment. This is the first time in 100 years a court has disqualified a public official for participating in an insurrection. citizensforethics.org/news/p…

Annual shout out to my mom, who said she wanted a small filing cabinet for mother's day when working on her dissertation. My dad got her a microwave. For two weeks she left several manila folders in it and wouldn't let anyone use it -- until my dad procured a filing cabinet.

One of the biggest barriers holding back the economy right now is that workers who want to rejoin the workforce can’t do so because they don’t have child care. Let's invest in universal child care to bring costs down for Americans and help parents get back to work.

I nearly quit school & my first big full time job because I didn't have child care. I ended up making it through because of my Aunt Bee's help, but not everyone has an Aunt Bee. We must invest in universal child care so parents can get back to work & we lower costs for families.

If you want to understand the role of corporate greed in price hikes & inflation in America today, you don't have to take the word of watchdogs or critics of corporations. CEO's are admitting it themselves in plain daylight. And they're betting they can get away with it. (END)

Of course they’re frustrated. It’s not policing’s job or purpose to address housing, provide healthcare or counseling, or solve the reasons people sleep on the subway. Maybe if we shifted some of that $11B/year spent on robo dogs to housing services we could get somewhere.
You know why NY’s ‘recovery’ isn’t happening? This photo today on the E Train at 6:45am at 42nd & 8th says it all. Why should working people & tourists be subjected to this? How’s it fair to those who need services? Imagine the cops’ frustration with no support to deal with it!

In addition to autoimmune diseases, I have frequent kidney stones, sometimes leading to blood infection &hospitalization yet @aetna denied my doctors catscan order. Guessing I have to sit in crowded ER & triage in midst of omicron to convince them I deserve a diagnostic tool 🤷🏾‍♀️

Why do “school choice” advocates never advocate eliminating school district boundaries/funding schools by local property tax and allowing poor, Black students to attend white, wealthy schools in neighboring municipalities? They don’t really want choice, just privatization.
Nikole Hannah-Jones has written convincingly on school segregation & its lingering effects. But the greatest contributing factor to segregation today is that kids without choice are trapped in schools based on a zip code. “Pay for private school” is quite the classist response.
