Our livestock guardians are out all night, keeping predators away from our goats. In the morning, we bring them in so they can rest, and also so they won't scare delivery people! But it is shedding season. Oh, my, the hair these two dogs shed is everywhere. My Dyson Animal cannot begin to fight it, so I have to sweep it up with a broom, sometimes twice a day. But they are still worth it. They really watch over their charges.

Yeah, yeah, tl:dr. I work as an election judge in a rural/suburban county in Kansas. I live rural. I attend a rural church. I'm retired. Under Kansas law, we check IDs at the polling place. I should note at this point, you don't have an ID, you can still vote on election day, the county clerk election crew will sort out the issue as a part of the canvass. I have had people show up without their photo ID. They can vote a provisional ballot, or go home and get their ID. I've had people show up at the wrong polling place because boundaries were redraw, they moved, whatever. They can go to the proper polling place (ballots can differ because of overlapping jurisdictions like school districts) or they can vote a provisional ballot. We have machines to help visually and physically challenged voters vote. (All our machines are standalone, no internet connectivity). Our training focuses on ensuring anyone who shows up can vote, and for provisionals, that adjudication process is open and transparent, with the public, party, and candidate representatives invited to observe the process and inspect the documents. Do ballots not get counted? Yes. If they can't be validated, but that's a small number, or if the margin of victory in all races exceeds the number of *all* provisional ballots cast - i.e , even if they all broke one way, the outcome would not be affected.
